NANUET, NY – Senator David Carlucci (D-Rockland/Orange) today announced that he will be hosting a Minority and Women Business Forum in an effort to open up doors for greater economic opportunity, create a more diverse business climate, and expand participation in state contracting right here in the Hudson Valley.
This will be a chance for business owners -- and those looking to launch a business of their own -- to learn about what resources are available to them and provided by New York State, economic development corporations, non-profit organizations, and financial institutions.
“New York State has the resources readily available to help entrepreneurs thrive in today’s job market, but all too often many individuals do not know where to turn,” said Senator Carlucci. “This seminar will ensure that anyone looking to start a business and take a risk has the right information available to be successful.”
Some of the organizations that will be presenting representatives from the Rockland Economic Development Corporation, Community Capital Resources, Women’s Enterprise Development Center, Rockland Small Business Development Center, and Rockland County SCORE.
The event will be held on Thursday, August 23rd from 10:00am – noon at the Suffern Library, located at 210 Lafayette Avenue, Suffern.
Attendees are asked to RSVP. If you would like more information, please call Senator Carlucci’s office at (845) 623-3627 or email carlucci@nysenate.gov.
