Senator Carlucci Visits Seniors at Pascack Community Center to Discuss Upcoming Senior Fair, Local Issues

NANUET, NY – Senator David Carlucci (D-Rockland/Orange) today visited the Pascack Community Center in an effort to provide informational services and relay upcoming community events for senior citizens in Rockland County.
Speaking at length for 20 minutes before opening up to questions from the audience, the Senator spoke about a variety of ongoing issues, including rebuilding the Tappan Zee Bridge, restoration of the state EPIC program, and Medicaid funding at the state level.
“Keeping our seniors informed with what happens in Albany is absolutely paramount to ensuring we can address the challenges we face at home,” said Senator Carlucci.
The Senator also announced that he will be hosting his very first Senior Fair on Thursday, August 30, 2012 from 12 PM – 4 PM. The event will be located at the Eugne Levy Fieldhouse at Rockland Community College, 145 College Road, Suffern.
The event is a unique opportunity for residents to find out how to remain active in their communities and learn new information related to healthcare, aging in place, opportunities for volunteerism, local clubs, and more.
