More than 1,000 Jefferson County people attended Wednesday’s Senior Health and Wellness Fair, hosted by State Senator Patty Ritchie.
The event—which was held at the Alex T. Duffy Fairgrounds in Watertown—featured approximately 60 organizations, all offering health and wellness tips and tools to senior citizens in Jefferson County.
“Today’s event was all about making our area’s seniors aware of the services they have available to help them live healthy and active lifestyles,” said Senator Ritchie.
“Not only were seniors able to access everything from flu shots to nutrition tips, I was happy to have the chance to talk with seniors about ways to improve life in the North Country and New York State.”
Senator Ritchie will host two more Health and Wellness Fairs in October, in the following locations:
- Ogdensburg’s Odd Fellows Hall, located at 1111 Linden St. on Wednesday October 3rd from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
- Fulton’s War Memorial, located at 609 West Broadway on Thursday October 11th from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
