Senator Charles J. Fuschillo, Jr. (R-Merrick) today announced that he has secured over $200,000 in new state funding for a road improvement project in the Village of Massapequa Park.
The funding will allow the Village to reconstruct Philadelphia Avenue between Pittsburg Avenue and Cypress Street. According to the Village of Massapequa Park, the reconstruction project will include a new road base, asphalt paving, drainage improvements, concrete sidewalks, aprons, handicapped ramps and curbs. The Village states that the project is needed to help repair the deteriorating section of roadway and alleviate drainage issues in the area.
“The improvements being made as part of this project will help enhance the quality of life for local residents,” said Senator Fuschillo. “I am pleased to have secured state funding to help the Village of Massapequa Park undertake this project.”
“I would like to thank Senator Fuschillo for his ongoing efforts in securing funding for the residents of Massapequa Park. These funds will go a long way in our revitalization efforts as we continue to improve our infrastructure,” said Massapequa Park Mayor James Altadonna.
