Senator Charles J. Fuschillo, Jr. (R-Merrick) recently announced that the New York State Senate passed a legislative resolution he sponsored honoring Wantagh resident David Zaitz for attaining the rank of Eagle Scout.
David, a member of Troop 656 in Wantagh, earned scouting’s highest honor after years of dedication, hard work, and community service.
David also completed a community service project in which he created a public awareness and educational campaign about Last Hope, an organization which rescues and rehabilitates stray and abandoned animals. In addition, David organized a supply collection drive to benefit Last Hope and constructed two new portable benches for Last Hope’s adoption room.
“David Zaitz is a leader whose dedication to serving others and strong work ethic set a wonderful example for everyone to follow. I congratulate him on earning scouting’s most prestigious honor and wish him continued success in the future,” said Senator Fuschillo.
With passage of the resolution, David’s achievements will forever be part of the official record of the New York State Senate.
