Senator Parker Crowned a ‘King of Kings County’

Brooklyn, NY- On Thursday, November 7, 2013, Senator Kevin Parker was declared one of the ‘Kings of Kings County’ at the 3rd Annual Kings of Kings County - A Champions Breakfast Awards & Networking Event. The awards breakfast was held at El Caribe Country Club this year. The purpose of the award is to recognize Brooklyn’s most influential male change agents; people whose major achievements, leadership and participation in the community help strengthen the city. The awards ceremony was attended by hundreds of guests, and preceded by a business expo where business and community leaders had opportunities to network.

“It’s always an honor to be recognized for the work I do in Brooklyn, and New York State,” said Senator Parker. “It’s good to be the king, and it doesn’t get better than to be king of your own county, especially since it is Brooklyn.”  “I would also like to thank and congratulate The Home Reporter and The Brooklyn Spectator for organizing a spectacular morning, in celebration of our great home, Kings County,” the Brooklyn lawmaker continued.

“We created the Kings of Kings County event to spotlight the people who lead us spectacularly. Senator Parker was chosen because of his exemplary work in our community,” said Victoria Schneps-Yunis, co-publisher, The Home Reporter and The Brooklyn Spectator.

The event was sponsored by Mercedes Benz of Brooklyn, Investors Bank, TD Bank, Astoria Federal Bank, Flushing Bank, Citibank and Wyckoff Heights Medical Center.
