SENATOR ZELDIN WISHES THE COMMUNITY A HAPPY 4th OF JULY
Lee M. Zeldin
July 1, 2013
This 4th of July, let us each take pause to remember and thank all of those who have sacrificed their lives to protect our great nation and uphold our Constitution. If not for their brave service, the freedoms and liberties that many often take for granted could cease to exist, so to them I am eternally grateful.
Having spent the last week on Army Reserve Duty at Fort Drum, New York, I am reminded of my fellow brothers and sisters in uniform currently serving our great nation from remote locations around the world. I send my thoughts, prayers and sincerest thanks to those sacrificing time away from their family and friends to protect and defend our way of life.
Let's always keep these individuals in our thoughts, pray for their safe return and be thankful for what their service affords us each and every day.
