It took nearly 70 years for WWII Veteran Al Penchansky to receive the Medal of Good Conduct he was entitled to for his service fighting in Europe during WWII.
Working with the Veterans Administration, my office was able to cut the 70 years of bureaucratic red tape in order to have the medal awarded to him in a ceremony we held this week.
At 99 years old, Al was elated to receive the honor.
Thank you for your service Al! Special thanks to his daughter Karen and grandson Brad for joining us for the medal ceremony.
