Malliotakis, Golden Add More Dates to ‘Yoga in the Park’

Assemblywoman Nicole Malliotakis (R,C,I-Brooklyn, Staten Island) and Sen. Marty Golden (R,C,I-South Brooklyn), are announcing plans to host two additional yoga classes with Yoga in Bay Ridge in September. The series of events, which started in June, have been so successful that the lawmakers decided to extend the program through the end of the summer weather.

The complete remaining schedule of free classes are held at Shore Road Park (enter at 79th Street and Shore Road), is as follows:

Tuesday, August 12th at 7:00pm

Saturday, August 30th at 9:00am

Monday, September 8th at 6:30 pm (added date!)

Sunday, September 21st at 12:00pm (added date!)

"We have been encouraged by the extremely positive response that these yoga classes in the park have received, and so we have made arrangements to offer two more classes. September is still a beautiful time of the year in our parks, and with the start of school, and the end of summer, yoga can provide those with some much needed tranquil time," said Assemblywoman Malliotakis and Senator Golden.

Classes are primarily directed toward beginners, but there will be options for those with a more advanced practice. Please bring a yoga mat or towel and arrive 15 minutes early to prepare.
