I’m grateful that we will have the time and the opportunity locally to properly express our appreciation and gratitude to Dr. Skorton for his unique stewardship of Cornell University, as well as for his leadership, through the Southern Tier Regional Economic Development Council, to begin putting in motion the strategy for a future economic turnaround across the Southern Tier and Finger Lakes regions. We’ve been fortunate to enjoy Dr. Skorton’s commitment, energy and vision, and I personally wish him the very best as he prepares to take this next, once-in-a-lifetime step.”
