On November 18, I was proud to join Borough President Gale Brewer, Assembly Member Deborah Glick, New School President David Van Zandt, and three New School performing arts students in cutting the ribbon at the opening of The New School’s College of Performing Arts, housed at a new centralized performing arts hub at Arnhold Hall. As a strong supporter of the arts and arts education in our community, I was glad to see the Mannes School of Music relocate from the Upper West Side to join The New School’s other world-renowned performing arts programs in the heart of my district. I thank President Van Zandt for hosting us at the new facility and New School Trustee Henry Arnhold for his tremendous generosity.
