Senator Serrano Sponsors Emergency Preparedness Workshop on Roosevelt Island

(Roosevelt Island, NY)- Senator Serrano and Assembly Member Rebecca Seawright sponsored an important Disaster Preparedness Workshop with the American Red Cross at the Roosevelt Island Seniors Association. 

"Roosevelt Island, because of its geography, has a unique set of needs in the event of an emergency," said Senator Serrano. "This informative workshop gave residents the opportunity to learn more about how to stay safe in the unlikely event of an emergency or weather-related disaster. The more informed we are about how we can prepare for an emergency, the better we will be. Many thanks to the American Red Cross for providing residents with this important information."
