New York, NY (March 31, 2015) – Senator Adriano Espaillat, Council Members Ydanis Rodriguez and Mark Levine, the Armory Foundation and New York Road Runners announce the fifth annual Uptown Games, to be held Sunday (April 3rd) at The Armory New Balance Track & Field Center.

It’s an opportunity to address the disproportionately high obesity levels in Washington Heights and northern Manhattan by instilling healthy habits in children, and offering them exposure to track & field disciplines in a stress free, supportive atmosphere.

WHERE: The Armory New Balance Track & Field Center, 216 Fort Washington Avenue, between 168th and 169th Streets.
WHO: Students participating attend schools range from Hamilton Heights Elementary on 146th Street and Amsterdam Avenue, to Inwood Academy for Leadership Charter School on Dyckman Street, after-school programs like the ``Team Dreamers” and local parochial schools. Senator Adriano Espaillat, Council Members Ydanis Rodriguez, Assemblyman Herman Denny Farrell, Councilman Mark Levine and other elected officials will also attend.
