SENATOR GOLDEN TO HOST PRIVATE SCREENING OF “SILENCE PATTON: FIRST VICTIM OF THE COLD WAR” FOR ACTIVE MILITARY AND VETERANS

Brooklyn – State Senator Martin J. Golden (R-C-I, Brooklyn) today is announcing that he will host a free private screening of the new movie, “Silence Patton: First Victim of the Cold War” and is inviting veterans and military personnel to join him at 10:00 A.M. on Friday, August 5^th, at the Alpine Cinemas located at 6817 5^th Avenue in Brooklyn. The movie’s director, Robert Orlando, will be in attendance and will lead a discussion after the screening.  

Senator Marty Golden stated, “I look forward to welcoming those who served, and those who are now serving our Nation, for a private viewing of this film and discussion with Director Robert Orlando. Thank you to the Alpine Cinemas for opening their doors and allowing us the opportunity to watch this film and discuss American history right in our community.”

Silence Patton asks the question: Why was General Patton silenced during his service in World War II? On the Huffington Post Blog, Director Robert Orlando recently wrote “Nearly 70 years after the untimely death of U.S. General George S. Patton, suspicions linger as to the nature and circumstances surrounding the demise of this formidable military genius…The accident left Patton clinging to life in a Heidelberg hospital during a crucial period when the Allies were attempting to transition from the ravages of war to a sustained peace in Germany.”
