Senator Carlucci Joins "Day without Immigrants" Boycott by Announcing Immigration Resource Event
ROCKLAND, NY– Senator David Carlucci (D-Rockland/Westchester) joined the nationwide efforts of "A Day without Immigrants" by announcing that he will host an immigration resource event on February 27th in Spring Valley. Catholic Charities of Rockland will co-host the event, which will include experts from various legal agencies and non-profits in the community.
"During a time in our Nation when immigrants are being treated as "un-American", this will be an event that helps our local immigrant community understand their rights and will equip our friends and neighbors with the tools to defend themselves. I stand in solidarity with our immigrant brothers and sisters and fully support a "Day without Immigrants," to highlight their valuable contribution to everything that makes our country great.
Carlucci's Immigration "Know Your Rights" event will be on March 27th at the Martin Luther King Center in Spring Valley starting at 6:30 PM. To RSVP for the event, please call the Senator's office at 845-623-3627. Walk in's are also welcome.
Additionally, Carlucci's office also has launched a toll free hotline for immigrants to report issues and call for support. That number is 1-800-213-6385
