Larkin Launches Petition To Keep Judith Clark Behind Bars

Senator Bill Larkin (R-C, 39^th District) has started an online petition calling on the New York State Board of Parole to deny Judith Clark’s release from prison and keep her behind bars.  Noting her role as the getaway driver in the 1981 Brink’s armored car robbery, Senator Larkin urged the community to sign the petition and show their support for the victim’s families and law enforcement by denying Clark’s parole.

Senator Larkin said, “Governor Cuomo recently commuted the sentence of Judith Clark. I am profoundly disappointed with this decision, especially given the outrageous acts of violence involved. We have courageous men and women in law enforcement placing their lives on the line for us every single day all across this state, and they deserve far better than this.”

The 1981 Brink’s armored car robbery in Rockland County left security guard Peter Paige and Nyack PD Sgt. Edward O’Grady and Officer Waverly Brown dead.  Judith Clark was convicted of murder and robbery charges and sentenced to 75 years in prison.  Governor Andrew Cuomo recently commuted her sentence, making her eligible for parole in 2017.
