Sen. Griffo announces funding for Upstate Cerebral Palsy and Upstate Caring Partners Inc.

UTICA – State Sen. Joseph Griffo, R-I-C-Rome, announced today that he has secured $400,000 that will help Upstate Cerebral Palsy and Upstate Caring Partners Inc. make renovations and repairs to their facilities throughout Oneida County.

With the funding, which will come from the State and Municipal Facilities Program, Upstate Cerebral Palsy will be able to undergo updates at facilities in Utica, Chadwicks and Rome. Work at the sites includes:

* Upgrading security systems.
* Replacing classroom floors, doors and catch basins.
* Installing, servicing and upgrading HVAC control and fire detection systems.
* Roofing upgrades.

The work is expected to take place in early 2019.

“Upstate Cerebral Palsy plays a crucial role in our community by providing a variety of valuable services to individuals and families in the Mohawk Valley. As such, it is important that this organization has the most up-to-date facilities,” said Sen. Griffo. “This funding will help to cover the cost of important upgrades at several of the organization’s facilities. These renovations will help Upstate Cerebral Palsy and Upstate Caring Partners Inc. continue to do the great work that they are already doing in our communities.”
