October 9, 2019
(Garden City, NY) -- Senator Kevin Thomas (D-Levittown) has received a perfect legislative score from EPL/Environmental Advocates for his strong environmental record in Albany. Each year, EPL/Environmental Advocates tracks the environmental voting records of the New York State Legislature and publishes them in an annual scorecard, known as the Environmental Scorecard.
“I came to Albany to fight for a cleaner, greener New York,” said Senator Kevin Thomas. “We have a responsibility to protect our environment for future generations. I am proud to have been a part of the greatest environmental session in a generation, and I thank the EPL/Environmental Advocates for recognizing my efforts. ”
EPL/Environmental Advocates was formed in 1969 with the goal of advancing environmental protections and encouraging public participation in environmental policy discussions. The 2019 Environmental Scorecard provides an overview of the 2019 Legislative session and grades legislators according to their votes on bills that impact New York's environment.
