Senator Helming Joins Advanced Atomization Technologies Career Day
October 11, 2019
Senator Pam Helming recently visited Advanced Atomization Technologies in Clyde for their Career Day. Advanced Atomization Technologies builds fuel nozzles for the world's most advanced aerospace engines. As the Ranking Member of the Senate Committee on Commerce, Economic Development and Small Business, Senator Helming has been working closely with local businesses to promote workforce development and job creation.
“This summer, I visited more than 25 local businesses to learn about the challenges they face and to hear firsthand their thoughts on doing business in New York State. These visits have been enlightening and have provided critical information as I prepare for this year's legislative session. One of the top issues local employers brought up was their difficulty recruiting and training workers for skilled trade positions. Many local companies, including Advanced Atomization Technologies have openings for welders, machinists, assemblers and more. These positions come with a great starting wage and benefits. It is important that we collaborate with job-creating businesses and our local schools to promote workforce training to keep people and jobs here in our community,” said Senator Helming.
