Senator Rachel May Recognizes Four Extraordinary Students with Youth Leadership Recognition Awards

Syracuse, NY - On Friday, Senator Rachel May (D-Onondaga, Madison, Oneida) invited the 2019 recipients of the New York State Senate Youth Leadership Recognition Awards to a celebration of their accomplishments at the District Office in Syracuse. Award recipients include:
- Lauren S. of Oneida High School for the Athletics award
- Emily M. of Cazenovia High School for the Community Service award
- Alexandra G. of Cazenovia High School for the Academics award, and
- Gregory H. of William H. Nottingham High School for the Arts award
Senator May also recognized 11 year old Samaia G., a sixth-grader at Expeditionary Learning Middle School, with a Commendation Coin Award for extraordinary volunteer work.
