March 26, 2022
Senator Jim Tedisco (R, C – Glenville) had the pleasure of visiting the St. Nicholas Ukrainian Church in Amsterdam on March 25th for its annual pierogi and golumki sale. Not only did he show his support for the local church and its congregation, but he also showed his support for the people of Ukraine and our Ukrainian-American citizens by presenting the parishioners with a copy of his state Senate resolution that he introduced condemning Putin’s Russian invasion of Ukraine.
Earlier this month, Tedisco also attended a candlelight ceremony at Cohoes City Hall to show his support for the people of Ukraine, “and their independence, God-given freedom and liberty and condemning Putin’s Russian invasion.”
Tedisco encourages constituents to also show support for the people of Ukraine by donating to reputable organizations that are aiding the victims of this tragedy. Some organizations include the Red Cross (https://www.icrc.org/en/donate/ukraine) and Project Hope (https://www.projecthope.org/)
A copy of Tedisco’s resolution can be found at https://www.nysenate.gov/legislation/resolutions/2021/j1967?fbclid=IwAR2xaCGGPdqIVjd7EcbCAAdK0bo0y2KdpHwFovXqiEyLgBJgYb-I7wy4_mk and is attached here as a PDF file.
