Senator Gallivan Lauded by National Federation of Independent Business

Senator Patrick M. Gallivan (R-C, Elma) is being recognized by the NFIB, National Federation    of Independent Business, for his outstanding voting record on small business issues during the 2021-22 New York State legislative session.  Senator Gallivan is one of just 13 State Senators to receive a score of 100%.   

"On behalf of our thousands of members and struggling small business owners across the Empire State, I want to sincerely thank the legislators who time and again backed their words with action, voting in support of homegrown job creation every opportunity available to them,” said Ashley Ranslow, NFIB's New York State Director.

NFIB, the state and nation's leading small business advocacy association, scored Senators on eight key votes on issues of critical importance to the state's small businesses, including tax relief, restoring New York's Unemployment Insurance Trust Fund and COVID-19 recovery efforts.

"Small businesses have faced numerous challenges over the past year and New York must do more to support them and the jobs they provide," Senator Gallivan said.  "I will continue to advocate for policies and programs that help businesses grow and succeed." 

Senator Gallivan is a small business owner and authored legislation to reform onerous, outdated, duplicative and unnecessary regulations on private business.  He co-chaired a series of forums across the state and helped identify over two thousand burdensome and unnecessary regulations. 

Founded in 1943 as a nonprofit, nonpartisan organization, NFIB gives small and independent business owners a voice in shaping the public policy issues that affect their business.
