Senator Patrick M. Gallivan (R-C-I, Elma) has been selected as an NFIB 2022 “Guardian of Small Business” in New York State. This award is reserved for legislators who voted with small business on NFIB key issues 100% of the time during the 2021-2022 legislative session. The Guardian Award is the highest honor NFIB bestows upon state legislators.
"Small businesses are critical to New York’s economy and the state must do all it can to support businesses and the workers they employ,” Senator Gallivan said. “Many businesses are struggling with historic inflation, labor shortages, supply chain disruptions and rising costs. I will continue to advocate for policies and programs that help our small businesses to grow and succeed."
Senator Gallivan is a small business owner and authored legislation to reform onerous, outdated, duplicative and unnecessary regulations on private business. He co-chaired a series of forums across the state and helped identify over two thousand burdensome and unnecessary regulations.
NFIB is New York’s and the nation’s leading small business advocacy association, with offices in Washington, D.C. and all 50 state capitals.
Founded in 1943 as a nonprofit, nonpartisan organization, NFIB gives small and independent business owners a voice in shaping the public policy issues that affect their business.
