South Ocean Middle School Receives New York State Flag
(Patchogue, NY) - NY State Senator Dean Murray was recently contacted about the worn and tattered NY State flag that was flying at a middle school in Patchogue. On Wednesday, June 14th (Flag Day), Senator Murray presented a new NY State flag that recently flew over our State Capitol in Albany, to Tim Piciullo, the Principal of South Ocean Middle School in Patchogue.

Shed the Meds Event

![Shed the Meds Event NYS Senator Dean Murray recently hosted a "Shed the Meds" event at the Sachem Library with the Suffolk County Sheriff's Department. The free event allowed the public to, safely and properly, dispose of unused and/or expired prescription drugs and over the counter medications. The event resulted in the collection of six large boxes of medication.
