On Wednesday, June 14th (Flag Day), Senator Murray presented a new NY State flag that recently flew over our State Capitol in Albany, to Tim Piciullo, the Principal of South Ocean Middle School in Patchogue.

(Patchogue, NY) - NY State Senator Dean Murray was recently contacted about the worn and tattered NY State flag that was flying at a middle school in Patchogue. On Wednesday, June 14th (Flag Day), Senator Murray presented a new NY State flag that recently flew over our State Capitol in Albany, to Tim Piciullo, the Principal of South Ocean Middle School in Patchogue.

8th Grader at Center Moriches Middle School Receives NYS Senate Commendation Award

Ms. Milan Brown from the Center Moriches Middle School receives NYS Commendation Award from NYS Senator Dean Murray for her Middle Years Program Service Project. Her project was to raise funds to assist paying off the elementary school lunch debt that had accumulated over the course of the year. Blood Drive In Memory of Nick Puzio and Push for "Nick's Law" to be Passed in the State Legislature

NYS Senator Dean Murray, Assemblyman Doug Smith, Suffolk County Legislator Nick Caracappa, and Brookhaven Town Councilman Neil Manzella along with the New York Blood Center sponsored a Blood Drive in Honor of Nick Puzio on Saturday, September 9, 2023. The blood drive prompted a call for "Nick's Law" (S. 6051/A. 6520) to be passed in the state legislature.
