Gov. Hochul Says She’ll “Certainly” Meet on Sen. Tedisco’s Request on St. Clare’s Pensioners
Senator Jim Tedisco (R,C-44th Senate District) today greeted and briefly spoke with Governor Kathy Hochul in the state Assembly Chamber prior to her delivery of the 2023 State of the State Address (pictured).
Senator Tedisco has been an outspoken advocate for justice for the 1,100-plus retirees of the now-shuttered St. Clare’s Hospital in Schenectady who lost some or all of their pensions.
Tedisco today asked Governor Hochul for a meeting with the St. Clare’s pensioners, and she said, “certainly…certainly.”
“I appreciate Governor Hochul’s willingness to give the St. Clare’s pensioners a few minutes of her busy schedule, and listen to how these dedicated former health care professionals, who cared for some of our most vulnerable citizens, have been coping with economic uncertainty and desperation with no end in sight as their pensions evaporated in the snap of a finger through no fault of their own. I hope this request for a meeting is fulfilled.”
