Senator Parker Host Career Symposium

 Brooklyn, N.Y– State Senator Kevin Parker, in collaboration with START Treatment and Recovery Centers and the Sheraton Brooklyn New York Hotel, hosted a Career Symposium on Friday, April 28, 2023, to help job city job seekers explore potential career paths and secure employment opportunities. The partnership aimed to equip and empower individuals looking to elevate their careers and succeed professionally.

"The career symposium aims to provide resources to help job seekers gain the skills and competencies they need to succeed and thrive in the global marketplace. With over 401,407 unemployed in New York State, career symposium participants had a chance to interact with top organizational leaders from START Treatment and Recovery Centers to learn about the nonprofit's transformative work and employment opportunities that included administrative assistant, security guard, nurse practitioner, and behavioral health supervisor positions.
