NYS Senator Dean Murray and NYS Assemblyman Joe DeStefano Encourage Blood Donations at Yaphank Fire Department

(Yaphank, NY) – NYS Senator Dean Murray along with NYS Assemblyman Joe DeStefano recently sponsored a very successful blood drive hosted by the Yaphank Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary. Every year, about 6.8 million people donate blood in the United States amounting to 13.6 million units of whole blood. At the October 23rd event, 83 pints of blood were collected which can save up to 249 lives! Every donation counts and your contribution could make all the difference to someone in need.
