Senator Phillips Congratulates Manhasset Boys Cross Country Team on “Three-peating” as Nassau County Champs

Senator Elaine Phillips (R-Manhasset) recently congratulated the Manhasset High School Boys Cross Country Team on winning the 2016 Nassau County Class II Championship.  This is team’s third consecutive county title.   

The team had an undefeated record in their conference and their division leading up to their county championship win.  The team members also earned the scholar athlete team award from the New York State Public High School Athletic Association, showing their strength in the classroom as well.

Senator Phillips presented the team with a legislative resolution she sponsored, which was passed by the Senate, in recognition of their accomplishment. With passage of the resolution, their names and achievement will forever be part of the New York State Senate’s official record.
